A week hiking in the Skarvheimen region of Norway followed by a week sea kayaking in the Bohuslän archipelago on the west coast of Sweden.

A week in France doing some walking and cycling in preparation of la Marmotte cyclosportif. Spent a few days in la Chartreuse and in the Ecrins national park.

Back in Scotland, this time for a week's sea kayaking on the coast near Oban, including trips round the islands of Kerrera and Seil. My paddling skills aren't yet sufficient to risk taking out anything but a waterproof compact for snapshots, but I did take plenty of sunset pictures from near the cottage we were staying at in Connel and a few shots on a damp day on Kerrera.

After numerous trips to Iceland over the last few years I decided to go by ferry this year and combine it with my first visits to Orkney and the Faroe Islands. In Iceland I spent five days hiking in Lónsöraefi in the south east and also revisited Landmannalaugar in the interior.
